Day 1

Departure from Bali (southern area or Ubud) to reach the port of Gilimanuk, boarding the local ferry to Java, with a duration of about 45 minutes. Upon arrival at the Ketapang port, we head towards the town of Banyuwangi, where we will visit the local market and the Chinese Temple using the traditional pedal tricycle called "Becak". Day 2

Wake up in the middle of the night at 4:00 am, have breakfast and depart for Paltuding, where the adventure to reach the caldera of Mount Ijen begins. You will pass through rural villages, coffee and clove plantations in the rainforest of Java. Humidity, wildlife, giant ferns, and tall trees cover the mountain slope (a two-hour uphill trek, so it is suggested to wear a sweater). At an altitude of 2,883m, the reward for the effort is a breathtaking view of the morning, and during good weather, you can see the large sulfur lake. After admiring the lake and the local sulfur extraction activities, the downhill trek begins, followed by a long transfer to the Bromo area (approximately 8/9 hours by minibus). Lunch will be served at a local restaurant along the way. Day 3

Wake up in the middle of the night, around 03:30. We depart on an uphill road aboard off-road Jeeps to reach Penanjakan (altitude 2,700m) where, on a panoramic terrace, we will witness the beautiful sunrise. After admiring the sunrise, we will descend with the Jeep to a level of 2,330m, passing through the famous "sea of sand". From here, a short horseback ride is planned to reach the base of Mount Bromo. To reach the crater, we then have to climb 250 steep steps. After admiring the beautiful panorama of Mount Bromo, we return to the hotel for breakfast and some relaxation. Afterwards, we will be transferred to Jommang train station (approximately 4 hours) to proceed by train to Yogyakarta (4/5 hours approximately); the guide will be with you throughout the journey, even on the train. Day 4

Breakfast, The day begins with a visit to the city at the Sultan's palace, also known as "Keraton". The palace is built in typical Javanese architecture and inside it showcases the richness of the cultural heritage that tells the history of the region (if open, to be verified on site at the time of the visit). Next, you will see the Water Castle, which in the past was the royal family's vacation garden. Then, you will visit a batik factory where silk or cotton fabrics are painted using a very special process. The transportation between Keraton, Water Castle, and the batik factory is done on traditional pedal tricycles called "Becak". The tour continues to the Kota Gede neighborhood, where you will walk among the locals' houses and have the opportunity to interact with them. You will also visit a local house to learn more about how traditional sweets are made. The walk continues through a local school, other houses, and the local market. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit Prambanan. Built in the 10th century, it is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia. It consists of three temples decorated with reliefs illustrating the epic of Ramayana, dedicated to the three great Hindu deities (Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma). The last visit of the day will be to Ratu Boko, the remains of a palace dating back to the 8th century. Legend has it that Ratu Boko was a palace built by the Buddhist dynasty of Shailendra for King Ratu Boko, the father of Lara Djonggrang, a beautiful princess belonging to the Kingdom of Boko. Appointment in the hotel lobby at 04.30, Sunrise at the Borobudur Temple (closed on Mondays): a Buddhist temple dating back to around 800 AD, located about 42 kilometers from Yogyakarta and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has been compared to other colossal ancient works (such as the Pyramids of Giza); it has a base of 123 x 123 meters and a height of 35 meters, resting on about 1,600,000 colossal stone blocks and its walls are covered with 2,672 bas-reliefs (with a total length exceeding 5 km and a surface area of 8 km²) of which more than 1,400 narrate stories about Buddha and 504 different statues dedicated to him.
