Abstract
Juma has 20 intimate bungalows nestled in the lush surroundings of the Amazon rainforest. In order to accommodate the water levels of the rainy season, which often rise up to 15 metres (49 feet), the property has been built on stilts on solid ground with the bungalows resting at tree level. The lodge is completely eco-friendly in design and construction, rustic yet beautiful, offering guests an optimised blend of authenticity and comfort. Six bungalows offer views of the surrounding forest, nine are on the riverfront, three are larger for families, one is panoramic, and Juma is our presidential bungalow, which will open in mid-2023. All bungalows have private bathrooms with solar-powered hot water systems, verandas with hammocks and ceiling fans ideal for Amazonian nights, which tend to be much cooler than Manaus. The Family, Panoramic and Juma bungalows are equipped with air conditioning.,
