From an elevated viewpoint (with a off-road tour) called Le Belvédère, you can see the picturesque Cook's and Opunohu bays, almost perfectly symmetrical on the northern coast, where the island's life is concentrated. The off-road tour also takes you to the beautiful interior of the island, where you can swim under a waterfall. Dedicate an evening to the dance show at the Tiki Theatre Village. In Moorea, spending a day in the water in the lagoon is a must, and every hotel offers half-day or full-day excursions to explore the lagoon, landing on a deserted islet and reaching the coral reef for swimming and snorkeling, and maybe for a barbecue lunch.
