The Arenal volcano is the third volcano in the world with a perfect conical shape, but it is the youngest in Costa Rica, less than 7,500 years old. Day 4 — Vulcano Arenal → Monteverde

This bridge offers spectacular views of the rainforest and the chance to spot local wildlife, including exotic birds, monkeys and orchids. Monteverde, located in the north-western region of Costa Rica, is an enchanting place renowned for its natural beauty and rich biodiversity. This mountainous location is best known for its cloud forest, a unique ecosystem where clouds constantly envelop trees and help support a wide variety of flora and fauna.

Day 6 — Monteverde → Manuel Antonio
The route from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio Park offers a journey through breathtaking landscapes, rainforests and beautiful beaches along the Pacific coast. One of the recommended coastlines along the route is the Gulf of Nicoya. To reach Manuel Antonio from Monteverde, you can take a ferry from Puntarenas to cross the Gulf of Nicoya. This stretch of coastline offers spectacular ocean views and the chance to spot local marine wildlife. Once you arrive on the coast of the province of Puntarenas, you can enjoy remote and uncrowded beaches along the road to Manuel Antonio. Playa Jacó is one of the most famous beaches along the Gulf of Nicoya coastline and is a recommended stop to relax and enjoy the sun and sea. Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most popular in the country thanks to its wide variety of flora and fauna: it is home to three of the four species of monkeys found in Costa Rica.
The lush vegetation allows you to get in touch with nature and wildlife while exploring the area and enjoying activities such as canopy tours, rafting, horseback riding, waterfall rappelling, kayaking, and snorkeling.
