Climatically, the most pleasant period of the year goes from May to mid-August, with average temperatures around 25°C, cool evenings (a sweater is recommended), and clear skies. At the end of August, the temperature starts to rise, but September/October are still ideal months for visiting. Between November and December, the water of the waterfalls is at its lowest level, with some dry sections. In November, the rains begin - thunderstorms in the late afternoon with heavy rain for about an hour - which last until March/April, with very hot and humid days. The river level starts to rise again in February and reaches its peak in April.
