Giorno 2 — Victoria Falls
In the morning, visit the waterfalls with an English-speaking guide., breakfast, When David Livingstone saw the waterfalls, he was impressed by the power of the waters and without hesitation baptized them with the name of his Queen. The British Empire has long since vanished, but the Zambezi River has not diminished its strength and continues to plummet for a hundred meters (twice the height of Niagara Falls) over a two-kilometer front in the narrow Batoka Gorge. Straddling the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, Victoria Falls are rightly counted among the wonders of the natural world; on a clear day, the veil of foam caused by the fall of nine million liters of water can be seen tens of kilometers away and feeds the rainforest that thrives on the opposite bank. The name given by the indigenous people to the waterfall is precisely linked to the cloud of droplets that hovers over the falls: Mosi-Oa-Tunya - literally the "smoke that thunders"., free time for lunch (not included), afternoon available for optional activities, dinner free, accommodation,

Their lush basins provide the ideal environment for herds of elephants, buffalos, and zebras, for which the park is famous., around 18.00 I return to Victoria Falls, dinner free, accommodation Basalt Hotel,

Climatically, the most pleasant period of the year goes from May to mid-August, with average temperatures around 25°C, cool evenings (a sweater is recommended), and clear skies. At the end of August, the temperature starts to rise, but September/October are still ideal months for visiting. Between November and December, the water of the waterfalls is at its lowest level, with some dry sections. In November, the rains begin - thunderstorms in the late afternoon with heavy rain for about an hour - which last until March/April, with very hot and humid days. The river level starts to rise again in February and reaches its peak in April. During this month, the spray from the waterfalls reaches the intensity of continuous heavy rain, making it almost impossible to take photographs.
