Abstract
The Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a traditional Mexican holiday celebrated on 1st and 2nd November. It is a time when families honour and remember their deceased loved ones, symbolically welcoming their souls with offerings, food, music and prayers. It is not a sad holiday, but a joyful celebration of life and memory, with parades, colourful costumes and symbols such as La Catrina, the elegant skeleton that represents death in an ironic and festive way. It has been recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity for its profound cultural and spiritual significance.,

American breakfast, Departure for Mexico City's historic centre to visit the cathedral, a living example of colonial architecture, and the Templo Mayor. Along the way, you will see the streets that were used as locations for the film "James Bond 007 Spectre". Arrival at the Zocalo where you can admire the altars of the dead, a tradition that inspired the Disney film "Coco".
