VISA: As of January 1, 2024, a visa will no longer be required for Kenya; however, travelers must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before starting their trip by registering on the website www.etakenya.go.ke at a cost of $34 per person. Those who already hold a visa issued under the previous system will not need to register again: the visas already granted will remain valid in 2024.

Starting from June 2020, in the protected areas of Kenya - national parks, beaches, wildlife reserves, and forests - the use of single-use plastic items and packaging will be prohibited., VACCINATIONS: No vaccination certificate is required for tourists coming directly from Europe. For those coming from areas where yellow fever is endemic (e.g. Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Zambia, Mozambique, etc.), it is mandatory to present a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate upon entry, even in the case of airport transit only, if it exceeds 12 hours and in any case if leaving the airport. Yellow Fever vaccination is also mandatory if traveling from Kenya to Tanzania, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uganda, Rwanda, etc. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended., PARK ENTRANCE: the fee ***includes*** park admission, which amounts to an average of 60/65 euros per person per night., START/END OF TOUR: Pickup/dropoff at the main hotels in the center of Mombasa; for hotels located outside the city center or at the airport, transfer only with an additional fee., ROADS: generally unpaved, not always in good condition - with potholes, dust or mud; travel times can be considerable, even when distances are not particularly long., HOTEL/LODGE: 3 or 4-star hotels do not meet international standards, but still offer clean rooms, although often with outdated furnishings, private bathroom with shower, swimming pool, and restaurant; occasionally there may be power outages or interruptions in water supply.,
