Day 3 — Lovina → Candidasa
Breakfast, From Lovina, on the north coast of Bali, we head today to the southeast coast of the island. The first stop is the traditional Buleleng market, full of colours, scents and flavours, where fresh vegetables, tropical fruits and local spices can be found. We then continue with a visit to the temples of Pura Beji and Pura Meduwe Karang, both dedicated to the deities who protect the rice plantations and defend the land from drought during the dry season. Deviating southwards and climbing into the mountainous area, we reach the village of Kintamani, situated at an altitude of around 1,300 metres. From here there is a splendid view of the Batur volcano and the lake of the same name at its base. Lunch in a local restaurant with panoramic views. In the afternoon, we visit the Besakih Mother Temple, the largest and most sacred temple in Bali. Built in the 11th century, it is located at an altitude of about 1,000 metres on the slopes of the majestic Agung volcano (3,142 m). This place hosts the island's most important religious ceremonies, often lasting several days, which attract thousands of pilgrims from all over Bali. Continuing towards the coast, we pass through the hilly area of Putung, which offers breathtaking panoramic views, before arriving at Candidasa, where we stay overnight., Dinner at leisure,
