Day 11 — Cartagena de Indias

Breakfast, Free day dedicated to autonomous exploration of the city of Cartagena or one of the optional group excursions with a local guide who speaks Spanish/English (with an additional fee) to choose from:

- Excursion to Rosario Island El Encanto (8h): it takes about 45 minutes by motorboat to reach the island. Long beaches with crystal clear water will give you the opportunity to swim, snorkel or simply relax on the beach. Lunch included during the excursion.

- Percussion workshop and mangrove tour in La Boquilla (4h): after about half an hour drive, you reach the fishing village of La Boquilla. The village is located on a stretch of beach situated on a narrow peninsula flanked by the Caribbean Sea. "La Boquilla" is struggling to preserve its ancestral traditions where drums play a leading role. Music lesson to get closer to the typical rhythms of music such as cumbia, mapalé, and champeta. The visit includes a canoe tour to observe the mangrove forests populated by flocks of egrets and pelicans.
