Giorno 1 — Saadani National Park
Airport transfer, Flight to, is the only national park in the country that extends to the sea, covers an area of about 1,100 square kilometres and is located in the Pwani region, north of Dar es Salaam. The park is particularly well known for its wildlife, which includes elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hippos, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles and a wide variety of birds. Visitors can take part in safaris by car, boat or on foot to spot and observe the animals in a natural environment. In addition to the wildlife, the park offers beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, which provide an ideal environment to relax and enjoy the sun. You can take boat trips along the coast, go snorkelling or simply relax on the beach.
The park is easily accessible due to its location near Dar es Salaam and offers a unique combination of safari and beach experiences. Wake up at dawn for a game drive in the park or on the river. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Around 10am, depart for a boat safari on the Wami River in search of hippos and crocodiles. Return to the lodge for lunch. Time at leisure by the pool or on the beach. At about 15.30, transfer to the airstrip for the flight back to Zanzibar., arrival at at about 16.30, The guided tour ends at the airport or hotel. - LUGGAGE: A soft luggage weighing a maximum of 18 kg per person is allowed. Excess weight costs $3/kg, but the decision is solely up to the driver/guide or, in the case of internal flights with small planes, the pilot, who reserves the right to refuse luggage weighing more than 15 kg. Starting from June 1st, 2019, anyone arriving in Tanzania will not be allowed to bring plastic bags with them. Passengers and visitors intending to arrive at any airport and border in Tanzania, including Zanzibar, are advised to avoid packing plastic bags in their carry-on or checked luggage as they may face penalties upon arrival. Items purchased at an airport before boarding the plane must be removed from plastic bags. The only exceptions are plastic packaging for medical and sanitary products and plastic bags for toiletries., VACCINATIONS: There is no obligation for vaccinations if you are coming from Europe without layovers, but antimalarial prophylaxis is strongly recommended. The yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for those coming from Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Zambia, even in the case of airport transit exceeding 12 hours.
