Day 1 — Masai Mara
Departure from your hotel for transfer to Diani airstrip, Flight to, departure at 08.00, welcome upon arrival and transfer to the hotel, lunch, The Amboseli National Park is a protected natural area in Kenya established in 1974. The Amboseli park area has been inhabited since the 17th century by the nomadic Masai shepherds who called it Empusel, which means "salty and dusty place" in their language. The park is located in Kajiado County, in southern Kenya near the border with Tanzania, not far from Mount Kilimanjaro. The territory covers an area of about 39,000 hectares of savannah, which falls entirely within the ecoregion of northern Acacia-Commiphora woodland and scrubland. Within the park, there are different environments ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Ambosel to wetlands with sulfur springs, savannah, and forests. Amboseli is well known for its populations of large mammals, particularly the savannah elephant. VISA: As of January 1, 2024, a visa will no longer be required for Kenya; however, travelers must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before starting their trip by registering on the website www.etakenya.go.ke at a cost of $34 per person. Those who already hold a visa issued under the previous system will not need to register again: the visas already granted will remain valid in 2024.

Starting from June 2020, in the protected areas of Kenya - national parks, beaches, wildlife reserves, and forests - the use of single-use plastic items and packaging will be prohibited., VACCINATIONS: No vaccination certificate is required for tourists coming directly from Europe. For those coming from areas where yellow fever is endemic (e.g. Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Zambia, Mozambique, etc.), it is mandatory to present a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate upon entry, even in the case of airport transit only, if it exceeds 12 hours and in any case if leaving the airport.
