Day 6 — Penang → Cameron Highlands
Breakfast, Departure from the hotel heading south-east, leaving the coast of the Strait of Malacca to climb towards the Cameron Highlands, a plateau located over 1,500 metres above sea level. The journey, which takes about 4 hours (250 km), passes through agricultural landscapes and small
rural villages, offering glimpses of daily life in mainland Malaysia. Upon arrival at the Cameron Highlands, there will be time for lunch (not included) at the Strawberry Park Resort, nestled among green hills and strawberry fields.
In the early afternoon, departure by 4x4 for an excursion to discover the Mossy Forest, one of the oldest tropical forests in the region, characterised by thick fog, trees covered with moss and lianas, and unique biodiversity. A short trek on wooden walkways allows you to immerse yourself in this mountain ecosystem, located at an altitude of over 2,000 metres.
You will reach Gunung Brinchang, the highest point in the Cameron Highlands, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
Continue to the Boh Sungai Palas tea plantation, one of the most famous in Malaysia, where you will visit the factory to discover the stages of tea processing and enjoy a fantastic view of the landscape of hills covered with tea plantations from the terrace.
Finally, a short stop at one of the local strawberry farms, known for their desserts and famous strawberry milkshakes.
