I arrive at the airport of Rovaniemi., Transfer to the hotel on your own, Rovaniemi is the official capital of Lapland and the most famous city of the North, known worldwide as the “home of Santa Claus”. At Santa Claus Village, located right on the Arctic Circle, visitors of all ages can meet the legendary figure, cross the magical line of the Circle, and send postcards from Santa’s official post office. But Rovaniemi is much more than this: the city blends modernity and nature, with museums such as Arktikum showcasing Arctic culture and the life of northern peoples. Almost entirely destroyed during World War II, it was rebuilt with a master plan by architect Alvar Aalto, who designed it in the shape of reindeer antlers. Surrounding the city are forests, lakes, and the Ounasjoki River, offering year-round activities: from Northern Lights in winter to the midnight sun in summer. Get behind the wheel of a powerful kart fitted with studded winter tyres and race against the clock along straightaways and challenging bends. This adrenaline-fuelled experience is ideal for the whole family, with a mini snowmobile track available for younger children. Thermal clothing and safety equipment are provided to ensure a comfortable and safe ride. Located near the centre of Rovaniemi, this activity offers an unforgettable way to enjoy the great outdoors in the Arctic.
