Zanzibar is an archipelago located off the east coast of Africa, opposite Tanzania. The archipelago is made up of two main islands, Unguja and Pemba, and numerous smaller islands. Known for its white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and rich cultural history, Zanzibar has become a popular tourist destination. The main city of Zanzibar, Stone Town, has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is famous for its spice markets, its maze of streets, and its ancient Swahili-style houses.
